iStart: Tulsa’s Incubator for STEM and Arts

Find the Answers You Are Looking for from our FAQs

So now you’re excited to apply for iStart, but you still have questions, right? We thought so.

Below you will find answers to our most commonly asked questions. If you find that your question is not listed, feel free to submit your inquiry using any of our contact forms and one of our specialists will reach out to you.

How much does it cost to join your business incubator?

The companies accepted into iStart will be required to provide 5% equity ownership in their company. We don’t charge consulting fees, education fees, special event costs, or anything else included in the program. You even receive the $1,500 scholarship for Momentum3 Growth marketing services.

The end game is that you will go public and be acquired by a strategic buyer or pay out dividends. You won’t pay us anything until you find yourself at that point. We won’t exchange any money until you become successful.

Do your incubator services cost anything? What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, card, or check for any of our services. We have been accepting cash for years with several of our business holdings; however, keep in mind: this program is for companies that don’t have the cash and their only means to get these services now is through equity. Also, building equity with our help will keep us both aligned toward the goal and thinking long-term success.

What happens if you’re dissatisfied with the services that our business incubator service offers?

If you are unhappy with the program or want to take your company in a different direction, we will reverse the transaction within the first 4 weeks of starting the program.

What criteria does iStart: Business Incubator for STEM & Arts consider when choosing companies to work with?

We are looking for companies that fit into the STEM and Art mold. If you are unfamiliar with the acronym, STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. Art, of course, includes anything from creative services to visual arts and music.

We want you to bring us highly scalable ideas that we believe we have enough experience with to at least guide you through an M.V.P. (minimum viable product) without a lot of capital or expensive outside help.
